What is Cold Korean Ramen?
Looking for a cool meal for your vacation?
So here we are, my favorite ramen recipe for summer!
Ramen is no longer belonging a part of Japanese food… trust me, I am a huge fan of Ramen for more than 20 years!
And the “noodle with soup” is a common style across Asian food culture – Ramen originally inspired by Chinese noodles, Laksa in Indonesia, Pho in Vietnam… and today I will introduce Cold ramen beloved with Korean people.
Cold Korean Ramen/Noodles (Reimen) comes together with ox broth and chewy noodles made of buckwheat. Well chilled soup, often served as mid-frozen makes you so fresh! Swear that is what you need to survive the hot summer.
5min cooking is available with an instant ramen set – you don’t have to keep it in a refrigerator, all basic ingredients are packed (noodles & soup base), and you can enjoy with your fancy toppings!
What is PARTY CLOSING MENU?
This meal often brings together commonly at the end of Korean BBQ – everyone’s favorite but always makes the place sultry. So this cold ramen works them to clear away the oily mouth at the end of the dining.
A party closing menu (Shime) is one of Omotenashi styles that tell you the end of a party with respect. Typical examples are Rice porridge after nabe, Miso soup in a Japanese course, and Ramen after drinks.
Those foods tend to be a simple flavor to refresh people’s eyes (so they remember that they need to go home even you don’t ask)! Please put them in your recipe if you face a long-long home party and you want to welcome/close well with Omotenashi mind.
